Trip to the zoo

We stood at the cockatoo cages for quite a while.......they were very very entertaining. They would say hello & goodbye at random times. We all they of course- started trying to get them to talk to us. Which is hilarious in itself to watch 9 people trying to get birds to say something.
This is what happens when your husband makes it a game anytime you go to the playground area to chase your children down...
Look I think I outran daddy...
I'm running away......
Ha ha ha- he let me go, and now I run away...
Still smiling :)
Daddy hiding out trying to capture his prey- I mean children :)
Bearing your teeth let's your victims- I mean children know you love them right?
I am an expert at outrunning my daddy...I mean the monster that is after me....
Taking a break.....have to smile at the camera- so everyone knows how cute I am....
Daddy's up there- so down we come.....
Look at my climber!
This is a hilarious pic of Jason- hope he doesn't find out I posted it....... he he he
Are you seriously still taking pictures of us......mom your blogging is out of control. Give it up please :)

I tried to upload a short clip of the birds talking & flapping their wings, but it wouldn't upload. So you will just have to take my word for it.

Our kids are very smart students. They caught the tinge of evolution at the zoo and talked to us about it. They said- why is there a picture of the man & monkey together.....with images linking them. They said - I didn't come from a monkey. Yep- we know that don't we. They said if that were true- we wouldn't have been made in HIS image. Yep- very true. I love that our kids know why & how they were made. To be in HIS image, to worship, and to tell the truth.

If you don't know where you stand on this subject - don't feel alone. I used to think it wasn't that big of a deal. Just thought- well you know God "used" evolution as a part of His plan, but ........
Well- check it out for yourself. http://www.answersingenesis.org
It is a very excellent place to ask questions- any questions about scripture and get answers that are based on science & the Bible. Great resource for home schooling as well- they have curriculum that really teaches about science in a way that is fun, and true.

They also have a museum that is located in Ohio, close to Kentucky, and within a days drive from the largest percentage of the US population. It is excellent quality & has awesome displays!

  2. Wow!! Looks like a great game of chase!

Oh---and by the way, that look your older son gave you about the camera---well it just comes more and more often! LOL

The best part about mine running, is I can get as many pictures as I like when he is racing and he can do nothing about it!!!

  9. how fun! i have always wanted to visit the creation museum, but we've never been on a trip that we have even been close to it.
my madi was looking at your photos with me today and she said "I like their family". And I said they seem pretty cool... what do you like about them. "They look happy and are rainbowy". Thats her way of saying that the parents are a different color... which she loves to see becuase she tells us it makes her heart happy to see kids who are adopted like her. :o) So thanks for making my lil girls heart happy today!

  11. you guys are amazing! such an expression of the body of
Christ. "does the hand say to the foot, you should be a
    hand"...

you let the Lord take your devastating experience and turn
it to gold for six precious children. and i'm sure for yourself,
    too.

    you have made my day.

    blessings,
    lea
